YSL Touche Eclat

YSL’s Touche Eclat was launched in 1991 and was the world’s first light reflecting makeup product. It’s ability to deflect light and attention from problem areas gained it an instant and loyal following. YSL’s Touche Eclat is still one of the World’s Best-selling Beauty Products and most beauty editors, fashion photographers and professional makeup artists also agree, try and find one of their makeup boxes without one! This is why it had to enter our Beauty All Stars List.

Originally launched in just one tone it is now available in 3 shades.

Shade 1 for traditional pale skins, as it has a pink undertone, Shade 2 for medium skin tones, with a peach undertone, and Shade 3 for darker skin tones with a yellow undertone, so now everyone can enjoy the miracles of YSL Touche Eclat!

YSL Touche Eclat

Touche Eclat works by reflecting light back the eye and camera. This makes dark areas look lighter, creases look shallower and puffy areas look less dense. In this manner Touche Eclat can even out the dullest of complexions, the most hungover of skin and the most tired looking face; turning back the clock and giving you the confidence to flawlessly face the world with a single click of a button. It can also be used to give structure and definition to a face if applied to the top of the cheekbones and eyebrow bone, and the illusion of larger lips when around the area and larger eyes when placed in the inner and outer corners. Furthermore, radiance pens, like YSL Touche Eclat, or any of the copies, make excellent 'erasers' for all sorts of mishaps, especially those around the eye area. Simply apply it around a badly done area and no one else will know it is there.

However, many people do not use Touche Eclat correctly as a Radiance Pen but use it as a concealer. YSL Touche Eclat is NOT A CONCEALER and the best look cannot be gained from using it in this manner. For example, Touche Eclat has no coverage properties and the dense pigment needed to offer a camouflaging effect to spots, dark circles and other problems. If you try to apply it to dark circles and areas that require concealing it will only accentuate them by literally highlighting them. It is instead best utilised over a concealer to stop the matte effect of the concealer and give a flawlessly natural effect to the complexion.

Quick Tips For Using YSL Touche Eclat.
1. Apply Touche Eclat underneath dark areas that you wish to minimise and not onto them.
2. Use in the inner and outer corners of the eye to widen the eye and brighten the eye.
3. Use around the lips for the illusion of a larger pout
4. Use just underneath the creases and dark areas that form under the chin, lines from the nose to the lips etc.
5. Use on the browbone and on the top of the cheekbones to add structure to the face
6. Use on top of a concealer for a more natural finish and one that removes the ‘caked’ look that some concealers give.
7. Use over makeup mistakes as a quick fix
8. Never use YSL’s Touche Eclat directly on top of areas that you wish to hide.
